How a Session Runs

From First Swing to a Verified Build

Every fitting follows the same four stages, whether you're booking a single club category or a full bag assessment. The camber comparison stage is unique to driver and fairway wood sessions; every other stage applies across the board.

Stop 01 · 15–20 min

Strike Mapping

Impact tape or foot spray on your current club face, combined with launch monitor data across a full bucket of balls. This establishes exactly where your strikes land and how they cluster — the baseline every recommendation gets measured against.

Stop 02 · 25–40 min

Camber Comparison

For driver and fairway wood sessions, we pull three to five demo heads with meaningfully different bulge and roll radii and hit them back to back against your mapped strike pattern, watching how each curvature handles your specific miss.

Stop 03 · 15–20 min

Spec Build-Out

Head, shaft, length, and lie/loft get locked in together as one spec — curvature included from the start rather than treated as an afterthought once a head is already chosen.

Stop 04 · Build Week

Bench & Verify

Clubs are assembled on our in-house bench and checked on the frequency and swing-weight rig before pickup. You get a written spec sheet alongside the finished clubs.

Why We Map the Miss First

Skipping strike mapping and jumping straight to hitting demo heads is the single fastest way to walk out with the wrong curvature. A player who thinks they strike the ball centered often has a surprisingly consistent toe or heel bias once it's actually measured — and camber matching only helps if it's matched to the real pattern, not the assumed one.

We keep this stage even for a quick single-club fitting, just condensed to a smaller sample size. It rarely adds more than ten minutes and it's the difference between a fitting that's genuinely data-driven and one that just looks like it is.

What You Walk Away With

  • A written dispersion report comparing your before and after strike pattern
  • The specific bulge/roll radius or grind selected, and why
  • A full build spec: length, lie, loft, shaft, and swing weight target
  • An estimated build timeline and total cost, fitting fee included
