What exactly is camber matching, in plain terms?
Camber is the curvature ground into a driver or fairway wood face — bulge runs side to side, roll runs top to bottom. That curvature exists to reduce the sidespin a mis-hit puts on the ball. Camber matching means comparing bulge and roll radii across different heads and picking the one that best offsets your specific miss pattern, instead of accepting whatever curvature ships stock.
Do I need camber matching, or just a standard driver fitting?
If your strikes cluster tightly near center, standard loft and shaft fitting usually gets you most of the way there. Camber matching matters most for players whose misses land consistently toward the toe or heel — that's where curvature differences between heads actually change how the ball comes off the face.
How long does a driver camber fitting take?
Plan on 75 to 90 minutes. We start with strike mapping using your current driver, move into head-to-head curvature comparisons, and finish by locking in the full spec together.
Will I hit real balls, or just simulator shots?
Real balls, into a net, captured on a dual radar-and-camera launch monitor. We don't fit off simulated ball flight alone — the strike-location data comes from foot spray and impact tape on the actual face.
What's included in the price of a fitting?
Every session includes bay time with a fitter, use of the full demo wall, and a written report covering your dispersion numbers before and after. See the pricing page for a breakdown by fitting type.
If I buy clubs, does the fitting fee get credited?
Yes. Any fitting fee is credited in full toward a club built on our bench, as long as the build happens within 60 days of the session.
Do you carry every brand, or push a specific manufacturer?
Our demo wall spans more than two dozen manufacturers across drivers, irons, wedges, and putters. Nobody on staff is paid on commission by a brand, so a recommendation comes from your numbers, not a sales target.
How long does it take to build my clubs after a fitting?
Most full-set builds are ready within a week. Single-club rebuilds or a driver head swap can sometimes be turned around same-day, depending on shop volume.
Can I bring my own shafts or heads to be fit?
Yes. We're happy to work with components you already own, though we'll still want to run baseline numbers on the launch monitor before recommending changes.
Do you fit junior or women's clubs?
Yes, for both. Junior fittings focus on length and shaft weight matched to swing speed rather than age alone, and women's fittings start from the same measured baseline as any other session — no default assumptions on loft or lie angle.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring the clubs currently in your bag, flat-soled shoes, and your usual ball if you have a preference. See the booking page for a full list.
Is walk-in fitting available, or is it appointment only?
Fitting bay time is by appointment so every session gets full, unhurried attention. Walk-ins are welcome to browse the demo wall or ask questions during studio hours.
